Everest Base Camp, September 2022
It’s never too late to embark on an adventure. And so it was last year, I found myself setting off on a remarkable trek to the Everest Base Camp. I had often heard the unpredictable weather on the mighty mountains, but little did I know the true extent of its power. My expedition was scheduled to commence from Lukla, a bustling hub nestled amidst the Himalayas. But fate had a different plan for me on that particular day. The weather, in its fierce and unforgiving manner, had rendered the skies impassable. So I had to make a decision and joined a group to reach Lukla by a heli. However, due to the terrible weather the heli didn’t reach Lukla either and we got off at Surke. This place is located at an altitude of 2,535 meters above sea level. So our true journey commenced from Surke, a departure from the original plan but a new beginning nonetheless. Throughout the trek, the weather remained a constant companion, its capricious nature revealing itself with each passing moment. With every blink of an eye, the atmosphere kept transforming. And so, I present to you some memories capturing a fraction of the nature’s whims during my incredible journey. These photographs are a mere glimpse into the awe-inspiring changes that unfolded before my our eyes.
